Town Power Committee demanded for by pass road separately
CHITRAL: An emergency meeting of town power committee was held at Mordeh Mosque under the chair of Khan Hayatullah Khan Chairman power committee. The meeting was attended by a large number of its members as well as Pesh Imams of different Mosques. The members discussed different issues and passed a unanimous resolution. Through a resolution they demanded for construction of a separate by pass road to solve problem of traffic rush on present road and opposed of extending of present road because by pass road means an alternate road. They thanked provincial Chief Minster for approving of by pass road but lamented C&W staff who use different delay tactics in this mega project and want to extend the present road only to save the
money as result 250 shops would be demolished and thousands of people would be jobless. They urged on Chairman WAPDA to vow his promise during his visit to Chitral for up-gradation of micro hydro power house at Singor having the capacity of 800 KV only. They demanded for solving shortage of fire wood in Chitral and urged on local administration to assure supply of wood on reasonable rates as well as to keep restore check post at Danin near district jail to discourage smuggling of firewood to outside of town. Through a resolution they demanded for solving problems of patients at DHQ hospital, children and women hospital Chitral. They urged on Tehsil Municipal Officer and manager of Water and Sanitation Unit Chitral to assure supply of potable drinking water in Chitral town.
They demanded for cancellation of recruitment of class four staff at health department and to fulfill these vacant posts on merit basis.
They demanded for appointing more meter readers in Pesco Chitral because at present the meter reading staff show different meters as default and getting heavy bills from consumers without meter reading actually. Through a unanimous resolution they urged on District Coordination Officer Chitral to must invite power committee members when ever a meeting of different political parties for sustainable solving of town problems.
