CHITRAL: The residents of Seen village have demanded of the government to ensure the protection of kashmir markhor against the poachers in the Toshi game reserve near Chitral city. Talking to the local media in Chitral Press Club here on Monday, a conservation activist of the village Miraj Hussain Mughal has alleged that the breeding season of the animal is in progress but the poaching is also at its full swing. CHITRAL: The road to the Kalash valleys of Bumburate and Rumbur remained closed for the second day on Sunday at Ayun town as the people of Thoriandeh and Muldeh villages have blocked the road as a protest against the cutting of forest adjacent to the Rumbur valley by the forest development corporation (FDC). An official of Ayun police station told Chitraltimes.com on Sunday that after the decision of case about the ownership of the forest near the Rumbur valley in a court of law in favour of its residents, its cutting was started by the contractor of FDC.
